My little hiker

Last week Matilda and I walked all the way to the top of British Camp (aka the Herefordshire Beacon). It's not all that far distance wise but is very steep all the way up. I set of with the intention of continuing until Matilda didn't want to walk any more but with a bit of gentle persuasion she kept going and then there we were at the top:

We had such fun, and to top it off we found a good supply of blackberries when we got back down to the bottom. A perfect morning!

A chilly walk on the hills

Yesterday we were out walking with friends - it was a cold but beautiful day!

Autumn sunshine

Yesterday we took advantage of the lovely weather with an afternoon stroll in the hills. I carried Matilda up in the sling and we walked back together (with frequent stops to pick up stones/leaves/mud/berries etc etc).

A trip into town

I took these photos the weekend before last. The car had a water leak so we walked into town for lunch, buying tea at the village shop on the way and making a quick detour up the beacon to drink it. It's days like this that we feel so lucky to live in this beautiful place.
